Happy World Autism Awareness Day!!

We had a very good meeting tonight. First off, KYMA Channel 11 came by and interviewed Teri Rademacher, Gwen and Michelle (that's me!! ). It aired tonight at 10pm. I don't think I made a fool out of myself so I think it was a nice segment!! Good job Teri & Gwen!

On to the meeting....Teri did a great job "schooling" us on IEP's. Found out several things I was not aware of. I think I will feel a little more confident at our next one now. She is full of information & knowledge so I encourage anyone to contact her if you have any questions. Her information is listed in the "Parent Information Network" topic in this forum. Teri is also putting together a "Make it & Take it" PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) workshop. No date has been set yet but it will be a 4-5 hour workshop on a Saturday. Jordan has a PECS schedule at school and has done very well with it.
